Sound expository preaching and teaching from the Word of God, the Bible, and good people serving the Lord together are what make Evergreen Baptist Church an indispensable part of my faith and service in the Lord Jesus Christ.
These factors are basic and so necessary for families to experience together as we face the daily challenges of a world gone crazy.
In Christ through the ministries at Evergreen Baptist Church, we are able to serve Him, to be blessed by the people and to be a blessing to others as together we continue to learn to trust and obey Him more completely.

Well-crafted with an absolute Biblical basis, pertinent to today’s world and totally applicable to the person in the pew – that is how Pastor Rumley’s sermons are – every single week. He speaks with intelligence and with the authority of one who knows the One whose words he explains to us.  Through these sermons, I have been touched at times to the point of tears, encouraged that there is always hope for me and for those I love, discouraged at the levels of my own disobedience and selfishness, and amazed at learning Scriptural nuances and historical facts that I had never before considered.  The preaching time passes so quickly.
I look forward to each Sunday knowing that God’s word will be preached in truth and that I will leave the building knowing that I have been with Jesus. Thanks Pastor Jon!

 I was not looking for a church with more programs. I wanted a church that emphasized an understanding of God's word and encouraged prayer. Although Evergreen has programs for every age bracket, I appreciate the preaching.  I can leave every Sunday morning with a clearer understanding of scripture.  The church also places a special focus on the need for prayer and every week renews a prayer sheet of the prayer requests and praises.  My experience is many churches emphasize socializing and leave out other priorities.  At Evergreen Baptist Church there is a good balance for me of maintaining a good relationship with God and encouraging fellowship with other believers.
